ACCOMMODATIONS |

The Old Town Inn's ten guest rooms have been recently renovated and all have private bathrooms. Rooms in the original section are furnished with antiques and have a special charm. Most of these rooms have a full bed or set of twin beds. The six rooms added in 1981 are a bit larger, boasting their own special characteristics. They are furnished with more modern furniture as well as some antiques. These rooms each have a queen bed; one has a set of twin beds. Reading chairs and lamps are in each room, inviting the avid reader to relax. We use all cotton bedding and every room is decorated with pleasing colors and an eclectic feel. Beach towels are provided upon request. An outdoor shower is available for guest use. There is daily maid service. To preserve our environment, we make every attempt to recycle and conserve water…please help us to protect Block Island and what it has to offer. |
| Elysium - Room 1
This room is located in the original section. It has a full-size cream-colored antique bed that has a matching mirrored bureau. A local artist's mosaic lamps add a decorative touch to this "happy" room. It overlooks the backyard and has distant ocean views. The morning and evening skies are particular welcoming here.

The Commons - Room 2
This bright room has two twin beds, also in the original section. Colorful quilts add to the character of the eclectic antique furniture. Facing North to the backyard view, it is adjacent to a common area that most people feel "belongs" to this cozy room. Very private.
| Captain's Quarters - Room 3
Located in the older section, this is a very private room with an antique full-size bed. It faces South, to the front of the inn. A small reading nook overlooks the old stone wall across the way…a great place to contemplate the evening sky or share a bottle of champagne. It is rumored an old sea captain wrote his manuscripts here. |
Margate - Room 4
This double bed room in the original section has Queen Anne style, antique furniture with marble tops. Its periwinkle blue color draws people here. A local artist's mosaic lamps, along with French wall plates accent this warm room nicely. It is tucked away overlooking the front stone wall and the side yard. It also features a completely new bathroom.
| Heron - Room 5
This room is on the ground floor in the newer wing. Its queen-size brass bed overlooks the backyard. A tree just outside the window frames out the room with privacy, still revealing the view. This room has the ability to adjoin the guest room next door (Room 6) that has two twin beds. Perfect for a couple or family of four. |
Windward - Room 6
This room has two twin beds and is on the ground floor in the newer wing. It faces South to the old stone wall across the way, and is very sunny and welcoming. It has the ability to adjoin the guest room next door (Room 5) that has a queen bed. Perfect for two friends or for parents needing a little extra "space" between them and their children.
| Dale's Room - Room 7
Dale's room faces North with obscured, distant ocean views…the 4 acres of lawn and gardens dominate its view. The subtle sage color, with a tapestry accent chair, creates a peaceful setting. This queen bedroom is on the second floor in the newer wing. Dale is our builder to whom we owe much gratitude for helping us live our dream here on Block Island. |
Duke's Room - Room 8
A queen bed faces the Southern sun. This cheery room overlooks the stone wall, and, on occasion, a group of pheasants can be spied occupying the field across the way. Our African Violets seem to always bloom in this sunny space. Duke is our exceptional painter who helped create the colorful palette that is our inn.
| Orchids - Room 9
This queen room in the newer wing also faces South. The rocking chair is so inviting for afternoon reading or simply enjoying the field and vintage stone wall it faces. Housed here are some of the orchids Lucinda has collected for years. We hope one will be in bloom during your visit. |
Distant Views - Room 10
Distant views are what you have in Room 10. One can see the ocean, and perhaps the ferry passing, from afar, along with the tranquil green lawn and gardens of the backyard from the picture window. A queen bed, along with a crewel upholstered chair (just like your grandmother's) accents this bright room.
